Under achiever in need of career advice?
I am an intelligent, creative woman age 33, mother of three. I work in food service (fast food) and to tell you the truth, I am not really good at it! However, I know I am capable of doing more, yet at the same time, I just don't have the confidence to go after something better. I have some office training, but that is 13 years old. Most of my jobs have been customer service (cashier, fast food). I have three semesters at community college, during which I got very good grades and I took a test at work first about 6 years ago where i was told, my score indicated that I "could be a college graduate." How can I break out of this dead end cycle I am in, and what sort of more promising career prospects are available to me *right now* without going back to college. (I am willing to go back to school after I get into a field, in fact would love to do so.) How can I overcome my insecurities? What do I do?
