What Should I Do About My Mother's Judgmental ways?

So on Disney Channel's Madison High Auditions, there is a character who seems to be a bit like Ryan and Sharpay from high school musical mixed in one. His name is Harvey Flynn and i think my mother would disapprove me to play a character that everyone would qualify him as gay or flamboyant. What do i do? She would simply waste my talent because i sure do play him damn well!!! I'm 16 btw
