Why can't theists and atheists in here have an intelligent debate instead of attacking each others beliefs

seriously, the atheists have as much right to discuss religion as the theists, be they christian or other religions. Stop telling the atheists they don't belong in here and stop trying to convert them. and atheists, you know certain theists aren't going to change their minds regardless so why antagonize them either? If you want to debate the existence of deity come to the table with your reasons instead of your insults...please. We would love to see a well-written argument for or against deity that did not also include "and if you don't think so too, something bad will happen to you and you shouldn't even be in here."
